Below 30, Above 10,000
(1996, 16mm)

A startling, unique conversation among five friends...only three of whom are human.  Robert, Wendy, and Michael have had a rough week in the big city and escape by hiking up into the mountains. But this time, instead of battling the elements, they strike up a conversation with them. Exquisitely photographed 30 feet below sea level in the lush barrier reef off Belize and above 10,000 feet in the California High Sierra, the D-Cals have taken global concerns about the environment and not only made them personal...made them first person.

"We think it's a really hip combination of art film and ecological film. Our channel is about shattering the limits of conventional TV, and Damaged Californians definitely do that in a big way." -- The 90's Channel
